MQ Fusion, NSW

MQ Fusion

On a rare shopping trip over to Macquarie Centre the other day, we decided to have a quick bowl of noodles before our major shopping haul of H&M and Forever 21 (both are newly imported big branded stores making their marks in Aussie shores) in the centre. Just like the restaurant name suggests, the MQ Fusion provides quick and easy plates of various asian influenced dishes (predominately thai or vietnamese) in the restaurant section of the shopping centre.

My shopping partners in crime is Miss Sunshine and Miss Curious for our weekend shop-till-you-drop visit. I caught sight of the MQ fusion and thought the place looked quite cool - colourful wall schemes, easy booths to sit at and straight-forward pay at the counter service to cater for a quick feed that probably most Mac Uni students may also enjoy on their study breaks.

Sipping on vietnamese iced coffee in a chunky glass mug as we await for all of our bowls of noodles to arrive.

The girls each order the Vietnamese Pho rare beef noodle soup with a clear broth. For myself, I order their laksa with chicken - a light, coconut milky broth that wasn't too overly spiced at all unlike some variants of other Laksa places. It's filled with vermicelli noodles, tofu squares and an assortment of vegetables.

We left but came back later on the same day for dessert - their mango sticky rice and coconut milk was a nice and easy quick sweet fix.
