Looking For

May the 4th Be With You

Abit of a nerdy post to reboot the blog today. This past week I have revamped the blog in a bid to try and spruce up the site; new logos and fonts, new adaption of content (ie: food AND travels are my newer blog content focus) and just wanting to revive!

There may be a few things yet to tweak, but so far so good. Do you know what today was? For not those already in the know, it was "May the 4th..." aka a Star Wars referenced day!

Hidden upstairs on the second floor is a semi-themed shot bar in Tokyo's savvy Shinjuku area. (新宿5丁目18−13 八重州ビル別館2F, Shinjuku for the street address) and there doesn't seem to be much English presence online on what the place is all about.

I was amazed that this small bar existed and am really regretting not venturing upstairs for a drink or to take photos of the place because I'm sure it's a wonderful watering hole for the Star Wars fans of Japan - the watermelon cocktail being a strong indicator of awesomeness which awaits you, young padawans.

In the Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme parks today - characters of the movies would have been out for meet and greets, the attractions would be heavily lined up and with the eager anticipation of the "Star Wars themed Hotel" experience and the dedicated land coming up in the mix- I'm one happy fangirl. The captioned pictured are from my 2013 work experience during the Star Wars Weekend events in May.

Back into the Sydney CBD -  those who have a penchance for some good ol' stacked up burgers then fly on over to the Burger Masters of Bar Luca or Down 'N' Out to try their themed buns.

The Down "N" Out featured a blackened bun stacked up with the double stacked (pictured) meaty goods aka "Lord Vader" thats going to be running for up to a week with limited stock. Additionally, the galactic purple and blue "Return of the Chedi" finishes up over the weekend of 6&7th May depending on locations for Bar Luca.

So which ever your choose for the weekend - may the force be with you!
